ALTERED MIRROR

Hi,

This is a Project I started time ago, I have got the idea and a long list of things to do ;).  So I cut the paper and glued it on the mirror maybe 4 month ago. During this time I usually thought about how I was going to decorate it. An after discarding some ideas finally I decided that not complicating it would be better, so I bought the correct ink color and started stamping with one of my favourites stamps sets "botanicals 1" from Paper Smooches.

THAKS CARD

I have been very busy lately. I’m trying to finish my son’s album, I started it when I was pregnant, but as he didn’t sleep at all I couldn’t manage to do it. Now he sleeps better, but he is 19 months old, so I have a lot of work to do. I don’t know how many hours I had spent by now with this album, but finally I’m finishing it.

I want to share my last card. I have made it for the Simon Says Monday Challenge. This week the theme is “Thanks”. In my case I have written “Eskerrik asko!” which means “thanks” in Basque.

And here it is. I wanted to do something clean, and as I finally managed to get the “flower garden” stamp set I was anxious to use it.

2015 APRIL TAG

I know it, this is not the original stamp set, but I couldn’t wait to have it to make those tags. When I saw the tags designed by Tim Holtz for April, it was love at first sight. I imagined a lot of possibilities for the tags, and also for this stamp set (floral garden). But it seems that I’m not the only one who thinks like that because each time I try to buy it, it’s out of stock on different on line shops. Unfortunately here there is only one physical shop and not exactly where I live. In spite of all that I know I will get it soon.

 

HIPPO BIRTHDAY 2.0 CARD

I continue with my Happy Birthday cards. I'min time to participate again in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge with a "happy birthday card".

Looking at the previous card I decided there were a lot of things to improve, so I use my Imaginisce Hippo stamp for the card again, and also the Lawn Fawn "so much to say" stamp set (the hat and the globe).

this month I need some happy birthday cards, so last days I have been thinking about how to make them. I like very much the versatility of the hexagons, I have my dies and I wanted to use them. First I thought to use 2 colors so I die cut some hexagons, but lately I found this clear blue card and I decided to use only one color. I love this color, and it was perfect when I discovered Colour Me...!

While I was die cutting the hexagons I decided to die cut the butterfly (big shot starter kit Powder Blue & Teal) and the Die-Namics "formal flourish" die.

there are two month since I discover art journal, and I love it since then, so I started looking for information and finally I decided to make my own. I didn’t  know if I would like it, so I took a book I didn’t like and glued some pages like I read on some webs (I actually don’t like this method very much, and for the next time I will buy an sketchbook for it). 

FLORAL CARD

here we are having a long weekend so I used my extra time to make a card I need for the next week.

I used white and red cardboards. As you can see I embossed the top of a piece of white cardstock. Next I separated the two halves with washi tape. I stamped two times a flower form Paper Smooches Botanical 1 set. I die cut the label with the big shot and add the sentiment, in this case "happy birthday", but in Basque. Next time I'll use my printer ;)

I glued the card into a little bigger red one.

2015 MARCH TAG

I think that the way to enhance my creativity is practicing. And Tim Holtz gives us a chance to do that each month whith the 12 tags of the year. 

For me is perfect, because this is a way to learn techniques, try different materials and see their behaviour. So I'm going to try with a tag each month, and here is the first one. 

FOW ANCESTRAL

Después de las vacaciones, percances y accidentes varios parece que vuelvo a la vida normal. Espero tener un poco más de tiempo que en vacaciones (si, eso mismo) para dedicar a las cartitas. Hace tiempo que quería añadir unas cuantas imágenes del proceso de alteración de una carta, creo que en esta se ven muy bien las diferentes etapas y detalles aunque no tenga muchas fotos.

CAMBIOS

Hola,

escribo esta entrada porque veo que aún hay alguien que sigue el blog, evidentemente porque con el paso del tiempo se nos olvida actualizar lo que seguimos.

Tengo intención de volver a utilizar este blog pero para otras cosas que no tienen que ver con magic, aunque es cierto que no descarto el volver a alterar alguna carta (sobre todo me quedé con ganas de hacer una alteración). Podría crear un nuevo blog, pero me gusta el nombre que elegí y está en consonancia con lo que pretendo publicar.

Como decía escribo esta entrada para que a los que siguen el blog no les empiecen a llegar notificaciones de algo que no les interesa en absoluto. No se exactamente que es lo que voy a hacer con el blog ni cuando, porque eso de ser madre hace que la distribución de tu tiempo se centre casi exclusivamente en una cosa, pero bueno, poco a poco.

He cargado todas las entradas de este blog en el otro, y este no sé exactamente como lo voy a organizar.

Para quien tenga curiosidad, ¿qué es lo que voy a publicar en el blog? Pues cosas relacionadas con el art journal, scrapbooking y cosas varias que haga con papeles y pinturas. Para poder participar en algunas cosas que me interesan necesito las url, así que esto es lo mejor que se me ha ocurrido...

WORK IN PROGRESS

BURNING FoWS

Por fin aquí están las 4 FoWs. Ya ni me acuerdo de cuando terminé la primera, pero es que aquí una ha estado muy atareada.
Pintar estas 4 cartas ha sido toda una experiencia, (con sus lados dulces y amargos) he aprendido un montón, he tenido que hacer experimentos con los barnices, esquivar letrajas... Lo mejor es que la última de ellas la terminé con una panda de frikis alrededor aconsejándome sobre como quedaría mejor. Esto fue por que a mi no se me ocurría como hacerlo y pedí sopitas. Creo que vamos a tener que hacer más reuniones con sesión de brainstorming incluida. Ideas desde luego que ya salen!!

PD: He editado la entrada de los barnices depués de aprender algunas cosillas nuevas.
